PURCHASING AGENT - Title 32

As a PURCHASING AGENT - Title 32, GS-1105-7, you will assist in the procurement of standard or specialized service; supply; and/or construction items, services, and/or materials primarily through formal advertising, or through limited use of negotiation techniques. GENERAL
Experience:
Experience education or training in clerical, administrative or technical work which demonstrated knowledge of purchasing procedures, practices, or regulations; or experience which demonstrates ability to meet and deal satisfactorily with others. SPECIALIZED
Experience:
To qualify at the GS-07 level, you must have at least 12 months experience, education or training using a variety of purchasing procedures to acquire supplies, services, furniture and equipment. Experience applying previously acquired procurement training to make open market awards for supplies and services. Incumbent must meet Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the duties of the position; to include E2.2.8. Continuous Learning. Members of the AT&L Workforce and their supervisors shall establish individually tailored plans for continuous learning in order to increase functional proficiency, maintain currency, increase leadership and cross-functional competencies, and keep pace with initiatives in the dynamic AT&L environment. E2.2.8.1. Members shall acquire a minimum of 40 continuous learning points (CLPs) every fiscal year as a goal and 80 CLPs being mandatory within 2 years.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
