Smiths Medical - Clinical Resource Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Registered Pharmacist or Doctor of Pharmacy degree with current license

  • 3-5 years home infusion experience, 5-7 years hospital pharmacy practice, and/or pharmacy informatics.

  • Preferably has experience using Smiths Medical (or equivalent) products including smart infusion pumps and developing ambulatory PCA or epidural pump protocol libraries and/or syringe pump configurations

  • Demonstrates professional communications and presentation skills

  • Travels up to 50%.

  • Preferably has experience in professional organizations as evidenced by publications, presentations etc.

  • Preferably has project management experience.

  • Maintains expert clinical knowledge through review of technical papers and bulletins, workshops/seminars, and interaction with clinical experts.

  • Develops and conducts training/educational programs.

  • Effectively resolves conflict and can work in stressful situations.

  • Demonstrates professional communications and presentation skills.

  • Engage others, promote, and participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives, focusing on continuous improvement.

  • This position is required to assure compliance of Company operations to all applicable laws, regulations and standards, good business practices and company documented procedures (including knowledge of all standards, government occupational health and environmental regulations and statutes related to the site).

  • Consults with RA/QA on issues related to the use and performance of Smiths Medical devices; participates in hazard analysis.

  • Is content expert for internal new hire training

  • Collaborates with team associates and manager to ensure pharmacy consultants are provided with current product knowledge and updates as available.

  • Collaborates with team associates and manager to coordinate and ensure coverage for customers.

  • Facilitates the delivery of the pharmacy component of purchased professional services.

  • Maintains expert clinical knowledge through review of technical papers and bulletins, workshops/seminars, and interaction with clinical experts.

  • Collaborates and participates in developing expanded service offerings, new product development or product enhancement teams.

  • Develops and delivers consultation and training, and provides ongoing support for customer pharmacists on medication software applications for development of custom configurations/protocol libraries and collection and analysis of CQI data.

  • Applies clinical pharmacy expertise within multi-disciplinary internal and external project teams to facilitate and contribute to internal and external research and/or process improvement activities.

  • Applies clinical pharmacy expertise to provide information and guidance on clinical/hospital procedures, drug administration, and data utilization relative to current product use and new product development.

  • Applies clinical pharmacy expertise to provide comprehensive consultative services, training, and support for internal and external customers related to Smiths Medical products to include medication safety software applications, data utilization, and associated hardware and disposables.

Remote based position, can be located in VA, KY, TN, NC, SC, MS, AL, GA or FL

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
